Privacy policy
We keep this deliberately small, because we collect almost nothing.
What we collect
Standard web server logs — IP address, user agent, requested page, timestamp — kept for security and troubleshooting. If you email us, we keep the message so we can reply.
When you use the site search, we store the words you searched for, when, and how many results they found, so we can see what people look for and fill the gaps. That record is not linked to your IP address, your browser or anything else about you, and it is deleted after 13 months.
Cookies
This site sets no tracking or advertising cookies of its own.
Cloudflare
The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which protects it from attacks and caches pages. Cloudflare processes your IP address and request details to do that, and may collect network error reports from your browser. On the contact page a small Cloudflare script decodes our email address, so that spam bots cannot harvest it. Cloudflare’s own privacy policy covers how it handles that data.
Product images
Product photos load directly from Amazon’s image servers (m.media-amazon.com), as Amazon’s terms require. Your browser therefore sends your IP address and browser details to Amazon when a page with product images loads, even if you never click through.
Amazon
Links to Amazon carry an affiliate tag which tells Amazon the visit came from here. Once you follow a link, Amazon's own privacy policy governs what happens next; we receive only anonymous, aggregated earnings reports and never learn who bought what.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Use the contact page.
