Our review: WEEFUN Tina2S

Desk research, not hands-on testing: specifications, independent reviews, documented issues and buyer data. Both scores are calculated from the inputs listed below. How we score

Cheaper right now: another listing of the WEEFUN Tina2S at £188.54. Check what is in the box, as listings often differ by bundle.

Verdict: A tiny, fully assembled, self-levelling printer that is genuinely simple to start with, and a sensible first printer for children. Its 100 mm build volume and 60°C bed mean most adults will outgrow it quickly.

Ease of use
5 / 10
Technical difficulty: Medium
Reliability indicator
7.1 / 10
From buyer ratings, track record and known issues
Upsides
  • Arrives fully assembled
  • Automatic bed levelling
  • Wi-Fi printing through the Poloprint cloud app
  • Resumes printing after a power cut
  • Very quiet, with a quoted 40–50 dB, and small enough for a desk or classroom
Downsides
  • 100 × 105 × 100 mm build volume is very small
  • A 60°C heated bed limits it mainly to PLA and TPU
  • 2.4-inch screen with a control knob rather than a touchscreen
  • No camera, run-out detection we could verify, or quick-swap nozzle

Best for: Children, classrooms and curious beginners who want to try 3D printing for very little money and space.
Look elsewhere if: You want to make household parts of any size, or print PETG, ABS or other materials that need a hotter bed.

Amazon pools reviews across this listing’s variations, so the buyer rating describes the product family, not this exact configuration.

This printer is sold under several Amazon listings. The buyer rating comes from the one with the most reviews, so it is the same wherever this review appears.

Who it suits

The Tina2S is a small, light, low-cost printer aimed at beginners and children. It is not trying to compete with the full-size printers in these reviews, and judging it that way misses the point. As a way to find out whether 3D printing appeals, or as a first printer for a child with an adult nearby, it is simple and inexpensive.

Setting it up

It arrives fully assembled and levels its own bed, which removes the two biggest hurdles for a beginner. You can print from a microSD card or over Wi-Fi using the Poloprint cloud app, which also offers ready-made models to print. On the printer, a 2.4-inch screen and a push-and-turn knob handle the menus.

It scores 5 on our ease-of-use checklist, a Medium difficulty rating, because it lacks the extras that make larger printers even more hands-off: automatic vibration or flow calibration, a touchscreen, a camera and a tool-free nozzle. We could not verify filament run-out detection on this WEEFUN model, so it does not get that point either.

Printing with it

The build volume is roughly a 10 cm cube. That is enough for keyrings, small toys, figurines and cable clips, and not much more. See how big a build volume you need. The heated bed reaches 60°C, which suits PLA and TPU but not PETG or ABS.

Living with it

It is quiet, compact and resumes a print after a power cut, which is handy in a busy home or a classroom. Because it is so small, most adults with practical projects in mind will want a full-size printer before long, so if you are buying for yourself, compare it with the Bambu Lab A1 mini, which costs more but grows with you much further.

Amazon pools this listing’s ratings with the older Tina2, so the buyer rating in our reliability indicator describes the Tina2 family rather than the Tina2S alone.
